Emma Regan named to latest Canadian women's roster

AFC Toronto’s Emma Regan has clearly impressed Casey Stoney during her brief time in charge of the Canadian women’s team.

On Tuesday, Stoney unveiled her 24-player roster for Canada’s upcoming pair of home friendlies for Haiti. Included in the English coach’s squad is Regan, a 25-year-old midfielder from Burnaby, B.C., who has eight caps for Canada.

After largely being overlooked by previous coach Bev Priestman, Regan has been a regular member of Stoney’s Canadian squads since the English manager was hired in January. Regan previously made history last December when she became the first current member of the Canadian women's team to join a Norther Super League club ahead of its inaugural season in 2025 after signing with AFC Toronto.

The AFC Toronto captain is expected to once again feature prominently for Canada when it faces Haiti on May 31 at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg and on June 3 at Stade Saputo in Montreal.
