Reader mailbag: Will MLSE hire a new club president for TFC?
TFC Republic's reader mailbag column is where I answer questions from subscribers about Toronto FC and Canadian soccer in general.
I'll respond to the best queries submitted to me by TFC Republic readers, so feel free to drop me an email at jmo1897@gmail.com. You can also reach out to me via Twitter.
Here we go...
I have been a TFC season ticket holder since Day #1, and this is probably the first time in my tenure that I am contemplating abandoning the team and just throwing away my seats. What’s disappointing is that everything at the club, from culture to concessions, has eroded. There is no atmosphere, no pride on and off the pitch and everything is short-sighted. Even small things like the member scarves were just thrown into a box. Unfortunately, nothing appears to be improving. Not sure what my question is, but it feels like the club is dying.
– Panos Kelamis
The overall sentiment expressed by Panos is something I've heard a lot from other longtime TFC supporters over the past several weeks.
Fan frustration is running high as the club has struggled to earn positive results this season and not even last week's historic win over CF Montreal was enough to buy TFC some good will.
