Toronto FC blanked by New York Red Bulls in latest road loss

  • Toronto FC 0, New York Red Bulls 2 (Morgan 2’, Luquinhas 56’)
  • TFC without a clean sheet in 23 straight MLS games
  • Jiménez now goal-less in his last 6 league matches

The road continues to be a cruel, cold and unforgiving mistress for Toronto FC.

TFC haven’t found any love away from BMO Field in almost 11 months, with their latest setback coming in Saturday’s 2-0 road loss to the New York Red Bulls.

Toronto (4-8-3) is now winless in 16 consecutive away matches in MLS (with 11 losses) dating back to a 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire on July 24, 2021. It’s the longest road winless streak in team history. TFC has just one win in 15 visits to Red Bull Arena, and has collected a meagre three points in their eight road matches in 2022.
