Toronto FC bowed out of the Canadian Championship at the first hurdle when it suffered a 3-2 penalty shootout loss to CF Montreal on Wednesday at BMO Field. 

The defeat to one of the worst teams in MLS was another brutal setback in what has been a difficult campaign for Robin Fraser's side.

Bluntly, the Reds run the risk of letting the season completely slip away unless they can turn things around in the coming weeks.
