Toronto FC vs. New England Revolution: 3 takeaways
It wasn't pretty, but TFC managed to end their 12-game MLS winless skid with a gritty display in their homecoming on Saturday.
Finally!
Saturday's long-awaited homecoming proved to be worthwhile for Toronto FC as it earned a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution before an announced crowd of 21,402 at BMO Field.
In picking up three points, TFC (4-7-8) snapped a 12-game winless skid in MLS (13 matches in all competitions) and registered their first win since April 4. The game was Toronto's first at BMO Field since May 9.
"We needed three points, and we got three points. So, definitely it feels great. At the end of the day, for everything that's been going on, we just need to win games," coach Robin Fraser said in the post-game presser.
Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
