After earning only one appearance for Toronto FC over the last two campaigns, Adam Pearlman was in desperate need of regular playing time in 2025.

Pearlman, 20, signed with TFC prior to last season to become the 33rd player in team history to graduate from the youth academy to the senior side. But the Canadian defender didn't make a single appearance for the club in 2024. Instead, he was loaned out to TFC 2 and played in 24 games (23 starts) totalling 1,989 minutes in MLS NEXT Pro.

The former TFC youth academy product was sent on loan to Halifax Wanderers this past February and thus far the centre back is impressing in the Canadian Premier League, making 15 appearances across all competitions for the East Coast club.

In this one-on-one interview with TFC Republic, Pearlman discusses his loan spell with Halifax, playing in the CPL vs. MLS NEXT Pro, his ambitions for the future, and much more.
