Canada will change the colour of the medal after upsetting the United States 1-0 in the semifinals of the women’s tournament at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday at Kashima Stadium.

Jessie Fleming scored from the penalty spot to help Canada earn its first win over the U.S. since a registering 3-0 decision on March 11, 2001 at the Algarve Cup. A 17-year-old Christine Sinclair was among the Canadian scorers that day. Twenty years on, Canada’s iconic captain was on the pitch again, as the Canadian team earned one of its biggest victories in history.
