The Canadian women's team is coming home.

Canada Soccer announced this week that the women's side will play a pair of friendlies against New Zealand on Oct. 23 in Ottawa and Oct. 26 in Montreal as part of its victory celebration tour after winning gold at this summer's Tokyo Olympics. These games will be the first for the women on home soil since 2019.

In the last instalment of the TFC Republic video blog, I discuss the importance of these upcoming international friendlies for Canada both in the short- and long-term.
