Midfielder Joseph Melto Quiah's tenure with TFC 2 is over before it even had a chance to start.

The MLS NEXT Pro club announced on Thursday that Melto has been transferred to New Mexico United of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Melto, a 21-year-old from Libera, was selected in the third round (69th overall) of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft by Toronto FC. He spent three years at the University of Dayton where he scored 14 goals and tallied 16 assists in 47 appearances (43 starts) across three seasons.
