Canada Soccer unveiled on Thursday the full first round schedule for the 2026 Canadian Championship.

As it turns out, Toronto FC will play in the opening match of the competition when it hosts Atlético Ottawa on May 5 at BMO Field (7:30 p.m. ET).

The lack of off-season signings, especially as it pertains to bolstering the Reds' attack, is more than a little concerning.

AFC Toronto will host Halifax Tides FC at BMO Field on May 3 in the team's home opener of the 2026 NSL season.

Sargent would fit that bill of the type of DP forward the Reds could use, as he has scored 56 goals for Norwich City in 157 games.

"The team that I like to watch mostly is Manchester City, because I think Pep [Guardiola] is pretty much a genius," Fraser said.
