July 14, 2011, was a very busy day for Toronto FC as the MLS club made a pair of major trade deals.
First, TFC sent Canadian defender Nana Attakora, forward Alan Gordon and midfielder Jacob Peterson to the San Jose Earthquakes. In return, TFC received forward Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an international roster spot.
