TFC 2 prospect Ythallo sold to Brazilian club
The MLS NEXT Pro club confirmed on Monday that the Brazilian defender has been transferred to Botafogo FR.
One of TFC 2’s brightest young players won’t be back in MLS NEXT Pro for the 2026 season.
TFC 2 confirmed on Monday that Brazilian defender Ythallo has been sold to Botafogo FR of Brazil’s first division. Terms of the transfer deal were not disclosed.
Ythallo joined TFC 2 via a loan deal on March 1, 2024, after spending eight years with São Paulo FC in his native Brazil. The centre back had one goal and an assist in 50 appearances for the Young Reds over the last two seasons. His lone goal for the Young Reds came vs. Philadelphia Union II on March 17, 2024.
Coach Gianni Cimini sung the youngster's praises after he played in 25 of 28 regular season matches (22 starts) while leading the team in minutes played (2,040) during the 2024 season.
