Djordje Mihailovic, others on the mend for Toronto FC
“It's very much trending in the right direction,” Robin Fraser said of TFC's injury situation ahead of their first game back later this week.
The lengthy MLS break seems to have been a major boon for Toronto FC in terms of getting fully fit and healthy again.
DP midfielder Djordje Mihailovic was one of several key players previously dealing with long-term injuries who was involved in full training on Monday as TFC prepares to play their first game in nearly two months later this week. The Reds have been idle since late May when MLS went on a hiatus due to this summer’s FIFA World Cup being staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Mihailovic, 27, has been sidelined since March when he was diagnosed with a pelvic stress fracture that was expected to sideline him for approximately eight weeks. He was one of a handful of players who were out injured for the Reds just before the break.
And while coach Robin Fraser kept his cards close to his chest when asked about who might be coming off the injury list ahead of Thursday’s road match vs. CF Montreal, he sounded pretty hopeful about getting everybody back soon.
