July 23, 2025: Mbongue sent to CPL's Vancouver FC
Toronto FC has recalled Hugo Mbongue from his loan at Lexington SC of the United Soccer League Championship. In a related move, TFC sent the forward on loan to Vancouver FC of the Canadian Premier League for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Quick analysis: Hugo Mbongue is on the move again.
Mbongue, who turns 21 on July 27, was sent on loan to Lexington back in March and the hope was that he'd get the chance to prove himself and earn regular playing time this season in the USL, something that wasn't going to happen with Toronto FC in 2025.
