A nice, quiet match to end a gruelling 32-day stretch that saw Toronto FC play nine times in two different competitions? Nah, the Reds weren't interested in doing that.
Instead, they had a wild affair against D.C. United in a 2-2 draw at Audi Field this weekend, a game that was a far cry from the midweek 0-0 draw away to the Philadelphia Union and a result that left coach John Herdman somewhat disappointed.
"I think last year we might have celebrated our point on the road, but this is a different mindset from this group. They know they dropped two points tonight. That might be crucial in the race. But we picked up a point, and that might be crucial as well. Two away results, and we'll take that at this stage. But disappointed, for sure," Herdman said.
