Canada vs. Costa Rica: What you need to know
The Canadian women's teams kicks off an important international window when it hosts Costa Rica in Toronto on Friday.

The Canadian women's team continues to find its footing under new coach Casey Stoney this month with a pair of international friendlies vs. Costa Rica and the United States.
Canada is coming off a pair of home wins over Haiti on May 31 and June 3, and is looking to continue its evolution under Stoney. With two more games in quick succession, Stoney will have to be spot on with her squad rotation.
"You consider both games, but you approach each game as it comes. It's Costa Rica first. It's making sure that we're prepared and focused on that without looking too far ahead. Obviously, we take care of players within lineups, but we also have the opportunity to see different players as well. I think that's really important across the two games with the two different opponents," Stoney said on Thursday.
