Toronto FC vs. Sporting Kansas City: 3 takeaways
TFC wasted a fantastic performance by Luka Gavran in Sunday's loss as the Reds' attack never got out of second gear.
Toronto FC had a small taste of what life would be like without Lorenzo Insigne in Saturday's 3-1 home loss to Sporting Kansas City.
The Reds looked short of ideas and quality in and around Sporting's penalty area and only registered two shots on target, the last of which came via Jonathan Osorio's injury-time goal with the last kick of the game.
"At home we always want to win. We want to dominate the ball. I think we dominated the ball. I think at times we had big moments and some exciting moments playing a good style of football. But with that comes the risk and that risk I thought was exploited in big moments," John Herdman said after the loss.
Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's contest.
