TORONTO – Slowly but surely, Toronto FC’s season is slipping through its fingers.

Up 1-0 after 86 minutes, TFC conceded a pair of late goals to the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia Union en route to a heartbreaking 2-1 loss on a rainy and windy Wednesday night before an announced crowd of 14,490 at BMO Field.

Ola Brynhildsen scored a fabulous goal in a losing effort for TFC (3-9-4), who remain firmly entrenched in the bottom half of the table in the East, having collected just six out of a possible 18 points this month.

Coach Robin Fraser’s exasperated facial expression said it all when he walked into the media room at BMO Field for the post-game press conference.

“This will be short. I don’t have much to say,” Fraser stated.
