State of the union: TFC rightly stays humble during winning run

A four-game winning streak shouldn't disguise the fact that Toronto FC remains a work in progress.

State of the union: TFC rightly stays humble during winning run

At what point are we allowed to start believing that Toronto FC is for real?

No doubt that TFC are trending in the right direction with four consecutive wins in all competitions, including a comprehensive 3-1 home decision over FC Dallas on the weekend.

The victory was also TFC's third in a row in MLS and marked their first three-game winning streak in league play since recording five straight victories from Sept. 23 to Oct 11., 2020. Toronto (6-4-1) now sits in third place in the Eastern Conference with 19 points, just one spot and two points behind FC Cincinnati, last season's Supporters' Shield winners.

Honestly, who saw this coming? Who could have envisioned that a team that had such little roster turnover from its disastrous 2023 season would be riding high at the start of May?
