Toronto FC in 2025: Who was worth their salary cap hit?

It was another disappointing season for Toronto FC in 2025 as the club extended its playoff drought to five years.

TFC (6-14-14, 32 points) finished 12th in the Eastern Conference table, dropping one spot from 2024 when it collected 37 points. While there was a marked improvement in the Reds' defensive play (17 fewer goals conceded this season), their attack continued to struggle and ranked among the worst in the league.

In a salary cap league such as MLS, it's especially important that players provide value for their cap hit. In part 1 of a special four-part series, TFC Republic looks at the wages of Toronto FC players who ended the season with the club and determines whether they were worth their salary cap hit.

All salary numbers are in US dollars and are according to the MLS Players Association website
