Toronto FC announced late last month that it picked up its 2026 contract options on defenders Kobe Franklin and Nicksoen Gomis; midfielders Malik Henry and Kosi Thompson; and forwards Deandre Kerr and Jules-Anthony Vilsaint.

TFC also exercised their purchase option on Canadian winger Theo Corbeanu, who was on loan from Spanish club Granada.

TFC Republic spoke to fellow Toronto FC beat reporter James Grossi, who also operates the Unattached FC website, about the Reds signing Corbeanu on a permanent basis, the other six players who'll be back, and more.
