Why Michael Bradley is TFC's most important player of all-time

Why Michael Bradley is TFC's most important player of all-time

Michael Bradley's eyes were the first thing I noticed about him soon after he joined Toronto FC in 2014 from Italian club AS Roma.

Thoughtful and engaging, his eyes exuded warmth and could make reporters he was speaking with feel as though they were catching up with an old friend who they’d lost touch with long ago.

Other times his eyes could be piercing and penetrating, as though he was burning a hole into you with his steely gaze if you crossed him. Journalists who covered the team on a regular basis over the years came up with a name for it: “The Michael Bradley Death Stare.” We’ve all been on the receiving end of it at one time or another, me included.
