Toronto FC continues to make moves off the pitch with an aim to turn around its fortunes on the pitch. 

On Monday the club announced the appointment of Sean Rubio as its new technical director, the latest in a series of hirings that included incoming coach John Herdman bringing in a new staff to assist him. 

As part of his duties Rubio will oversee the management of the infrastructure and operation of the club's scouting department. He’ll also work in tandem with general manager Jason Hernandez in the area of player acquisitions for the first team and TFC 2.
