One of the fiercest competitors in the history of the Canadian women's team is about to take her final bow.
Canada Soccer recently announced that fullback Allysha Chapman will play in her 100th and final international match for Canada when it faces Denmark on Monday at Toronto's BMO Field. She will become the 24th member of the Canadian women's team to reach the 100 cap mark.
Chapman, 37, made her national team debut in 2014 and was part of Canada's bronze medal and gold medal winning teams at the 2016 Rio and 2021 Tokyo Olympics, while also competing in the 2015, 2019 and 2023 World Cups. Her last cap came three years ago.
