Canada vs. Switzerland: What you need to know
The Canadian women's teams will be back in action for the first time since July 2 when they face the Swiss in Lucerne on Friday.

After three and half months off, the Canadian women's team returns to action during October's FIFA international window with a pair of high-profile games against European opponents.
The window gives coach Casey Stoney a chance to look at different options as she attempts to widen the player pool, while cementing the tactical ideas that she's tried to instil in the team since she was hired in January.
Stoney will also have one eye towards next November when the Concacaf qualifiers take place for the 2027 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, especially as there are fewer international windows next year compared to this year.
Here’s what you need to know about Friday's game between Canada and Switzerland at the Swissporarena in Lucerne (1:30 p.m. ET/OneSoccer).
