It's more than fair to say that it was an unsuccessful October window for the Canadian women's team.
Canada suffered a 1-0 loss to Switzerland in Lucerne last Friday and followed that up with another 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands in Nijmegen. Coach Casey Stoney didn't hold back after the loss to the Dutch, saying it "wasn't good enough."
"I'll be honest, I feel like we look like little girls against women out there at times ... We don't have the most physical side, but we can still use our body in a more efficient and effective way," Stoney told reporters after the defeat.
