TFC could be officially eliminated from playoff contention on Saturday even if they pick up a win at Gillette Stadium.

Toronto FC vs. New England Revolution: What you need to know

After four consecutive draws, Toronto FC is eager to record its first win in close to two months this weekend.

The recent FIFA international break means TFC have been idle since Aug. 30 when they earned a 1-1 draw at home vs. CF Montreal. That result extended the Reds' winless run to six consecutive matches, with their last win coming in a 1-0 decision away to San Diego FC on July 16.

"We feel like we've made progress over the last probably two months, and our ideas with the ball are better, and we find ourselves getting deep progressions, which is excellent. All of that is improvement in addition to how we've defended," coach Robin Fraser said on Friday.

"For sure, we feel like we're building a very good foundation. But the last piece of that is taking some of those deep progressions and turning them into not just goal scoring chances, but actual goals."

Here’s what you need to know about Saturday's contest between Toronto and the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).
