TFC eliminated from playoff race after 5th straight draw
A 1-1 stalemate away to the New England Revolution on Saturday officially knocked Toronto FC out of playoff contention.

- Toronto FC 1 (Corbeanu 75’), New England Revolution 1 (Langoni 90’)
- TFC now winless in 7 games; last victory was on July 16
- Kevin Long, Jonathan Osorio subbed out with injuries
Make it five years in a row for Toronto FC without a single post-season appearance.
Idle since the end of August, TFC was short on quality and lacked urgency for most of Saturday night's 1-1 draw vs. the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium, a result that officially eliminated them from the playoff race with five matches remaining in the MLS campaign.
Toronto (5-13-11) sits 12th in the Eastern Conference, 16 points off the pace of the Chicago Fire who hold down the ninth and final playoff berth. While this draw was the Reds’ fifth in a row, it also extended their winless run to seven consecutive games, with their previous victory coming in a 1-0 road decision over San Diego FC on July 16.
