Toronto FC didn't lose any ground in the playoff race despite coming out on the wrong end of a 2-0 loss away to Supporters' Shield leaders Nashville SC on Saturday.
TFC (6-10-11) remains 12th in the Eastern Conference, four points and three spots below the playoff line with seven games remaining in the regular season.
But the Reds' lack of engagement and defensive deficiencies were once again cruelly exposed in Nashville, as was its lack of genuine attacking thrust. And that doesn't bode well for a team that's trying to move up the standings with only a limited number of games remaining on their schedule.
