You’d think that being the son of a Canadian soccer legend might be a bit too much to bear at times for Adisa De Rosario.

But Toronto FC’s third-string goalkeeper firmly embraces being the son of Dwayne De Rosario.

His father had two stints with TFC during a successful MLS career that included him being voted the league’s MVP in 2011 (with D.C), winning four MLS Cups (two each with Houston and San Jose), and being named to the MLS Best XI on six occasions and an MLS All-Star seven times.

Dwayne was also named among the 25 greatest players in MLS history in 2020 (alongside current Reds coach Robin Fraser) as part of the league’s 25th anniversary and he was at one time the Canadian men’s team’s all-time leading scorer with 22 goals in 81 games.
