TFC Talk: Remembering former beat reporter Larry Millson
In a new video blog, I share my memories of Millson, who I worked alongside in covering Toronto FC during its early days in MLS.
Canadian sports journalism has lost an icon with the passing of Larry Millson.
Millson, 83, was a dedicated sports writer whose work appeared for the Hamilton Spectator, Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, The Canadian Press and a host of other media outlets.
He was primarily known as a baseball writer, having covered the Toronto Blue Jays for several decades. But Millson also covered Toronto FC during its early years in MLS for the Globe and Mail and was a regular fixture inside the BMO Field press box for home games from the club's inaugural season in 2007 through to 2012.
The Toronto Blue Jays are deeply saddened by the passing of Larry Millson, one of Canada's most respected baseball writers.
