Things are going from bad to worse for Toronto FC.

A 2-0 loss to CF Montreal in Saturday’s Canadian Classique at Stade Saputo capped off a disastrous week for TFC, who exited the Canadian Championship following a defeat to their bitter rivals at home earlier this week.

With just one win in its last eight league games, Toronto is trending in the wrong direction. As the losses pile up and with so many key players missing through injury, TFC is in serious danger of letting the season completely slip away from them before the summer even arrives.

An already shorthanded Toronto (2-4-6) played a man down for the last 34 minutes of Saturday’s game after Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty picked up his second yellow card. With the loss, TFC dropped into last place in the Eastern Conference standings.
