From our lengthy "fireside chats," to talking tactics over beers and wings while he was wearing a cream-coloured suit, Vanney was easily the TFC coach I got along with the best, and someone who was incredibly generous with the media.
When he was first hired to replace Ryan Nelsen, I thought the club had made a mistake. But it turned out to be one of the best moves ever made by Toronto FC.
