It was a victory that was almost 13 months in the making.
Toronto FC benefited from a brace by Jonathan Osorio, and goals from Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi in a 4-3 road win vs. Nashville SC on Saturday night. In doing so, the Reds snapped a 19-game winless skid away from BMO Field (13 losses) and earned its first road victory in MLS since a 2-1 decision over the Chicago Fire on July 24, 2021.
While not a must-win situation, this was a huge result for a Toronto side that is trying to claw its way back into the playoff race with only 10 matches left in the regular season.
"A really important win. … A lot of big positives," coach Bob Bradley said.
Here are my three major takeaways from the game.
