Terry Dunfield’s first game as Toronto FC’s interim coach this weekend will see him take charge of a club that is reeling from injury problems and international absences.
The Reds host Real Salt Lake on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET/Apple TV and TSN), and will continue to miss captain Michael Bradley, fellow midfielder Víctor Vázquez and forward Adama Diomande because of long-term injuries.
Also ruled out for the game are centre backs Matt Hedges and Sigurd Rosted, and left fullback Cristián Gutiérrez. All of them are dealing with lower body ailments. Fullback Kobe Franklin (shoulder) is questionable for Saturday.
The following players will also miss the game vs. RSL due to international duty: Goalkeepers Sean Johnson (United States) and Tomás Romero (El Salvador), and midfielder Jonathan Osorio and Richie Laryea (Canada).
