The 2023 MLS season continues to slip away from Toronto FC.

Desperately needing a win to stop the rot, TFC came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision to St. Louis City SC on Saturday at BMO Field in the first ever meeting between the clubs.

Toronto (3-10-10) has lost five in a row and is winless in eight, with its last victory coming on May 27. The Reds sit 14th in the Eastern Conference (out of 15 teams), five spots and seven points behind CF Montreal who hold down the ninth and final playoff berth in the East.
