Sigurd Rosted a key figure in TFC's defensive resurgence

Criticized for his uneven form over the last two campaigns, Rosted has been one of the Reds' most reliable performers this season.

The 2025 MLS season is barely two months old, but Sigurd Rosted has already hit a pair of important milestones for Toronto FC.

One of the silver linings for TFC in a 4-2 road loss to Orlando City on March 1 came in the 72nd minute when Rosted scored on a header at the far post off a Federico Bernardeschi corner kick. It was his first goal in 55 appearances in all competitions for Toronto.

Rosted then went on to make his 50th MLS appearance for TFC on March 29 in a 0-0 home draw vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps.

What were the highlights among those 50 games?

“Obviously, scoring in Orlando. Hopefully there will be some more. The game vs. Montreal at home last season [a 5-1 win] when we were just running over them,” Rosted told TFC Republic.
