How Mihailovic's move to TFC is viewed in Colorado circles

Toronto FC pulled off one of the biggest moves of the MLS secondary transfer window when it acquired Djordje Mihailovic via transfer last week.

TFC secured Mihailovic from the Colorado Rapids for $8 million US and up to $1 million in conditional cash if certain performance-based metrics are met. Mihailovic, 26, joined the Reds as their new star designated player, having signed a three-and-a-half-year contract through the end of 2028 with a club option for 2029.

At his introductory TFC press conference, Mihailovic talked about how he asked to leave Colorado and is anxious to help Toronto get back to the top of the MLS mountain.

Braidon Nourse is a soccer reporter who covers the Colorado Rapids for The Denver Post newspaper. In this one-on-one interview with TFC Republic, Nourse discusses how Mihailovic's transfer to Toronto FC is viewed in Colorado Rapids circles, what the reaction of local fans has been like, and much more.
