TFC notebook: GM says club will add attacking DP in off-season

It's been a very busy summer for Jason Hernandez.

Toronto FC's GM had on a lot on his plate as he orchestrated the buyouts of Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi, brought in a new DP in Djordje Mihailovic, made several trades, and accumulated a lot of general allocation money (GAM) while freeing up some valuable salary cap space.

Hernandez spoke to a small group of reporters on Friday, a day after the closure of the MLS secondary transfer window, about the state of TFC and what the off-season will look like as the club anticipates undergoing major roster changes.

"I think we are certainly the most flexible we've ever been, at least under my tenure with the club, which is great... We have a lot of opportunities. We have a lot of hard work in front of us, but I think we certainly have put ourselves in a position to make real change and to take big steps," Hernandez stated.
