Aren't the Reds taking a gamble on José Cifuentes? He barely played for Rangers and now he's coming back to MLS to replace Deybi Flores, who I thought was an excellent defensive midfielder.

Earlier this week Toronto FC announced the acquisition of Ecuadorian international midfielder José Cifuentes on loan from Rangers of the Scottish Premiership. The loan agreement runs through June 30, 2026, with a purchase option.
It was a move that came just two days after TFC announced the transfer of Deybi Flores to Saudi club Al-Najma SC for an undisclosed fee.
