Big changes are coming to MLS NEXT Pro.

The league announced on Thursday that it is shifting its competition calendar in 2027 in order to align itself with MLS and top soccer leagues around the world. Starting next year, MLS NEXT Pro will begin with a sprint season in February, followed by its first full summer-to-spring season in 2027-28.

MLS is making a similar shift starting next year, so it only makes sense that MLS NEXT Pro, in which TFC 2 competes, is following suit.
