TFC loanee Adam Pearlman making a case for himself in CPL
In a 1-on-1 interview, Pearlman talks about his time so far at Cavalry FC, his future with Toronto FC, and much more.
If nothing else, Adam Pearlman has been patient.
Pearlman, a 21-year-old native of Toronto, has been with Toronto FC since 2016 when he joined the youth academy. The Johannesburg-born defender worked his way up through the youth system to TFC 2 in MLS NEXT Pro and was called up by the senior side on a series of short-term loans before signing his first MLS contract in 2024.
But he's yet to break through with his hometown club as he's been limited to just one appearance for the first team. Last year, he was loaned out to Halifax Wanderers for the full CPL campaign and is currently on a season-long loan with Cavalry FC with whom he has a goal and an assist in 17 appearances across all competitions.
Pearlman has played a pivotal role in helping coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr's side have the best defensive record in the CPL (tied with Forge FC) with just eight goals against in 15 games while Cavalry sits in second place in the overall league table.
