Toronto FC announced Friday that it signed Tsubasa Endoh to a one-day contract so that he can officially retire as a TFC player.
The Japanese winger was diagnosed with acute undifferentiated leukemia in December 2021 and is now officially hanging up his cleats. But not before being honoured on the field and delivering the official match ball for Saturday’s home game vs. Atlanta United at BMO Field (7:30 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).
