MLS All-Star Richie Laryea looking at big picture with TFC
"[Being an] All-Star is nice, but I want [the] playoffs and a deep playoff run and to be competing for silverware," Laryea said.
What a summer it’s turning out to be for Richie Laryea.
The Toronto FC fullback was a key figure for Canada at the FIFA World Cup, starting all five games while logging 431 minutes (out of a possible 450) in helping his country get out of the group stage and win a knockout match for the first time in its history before bowing out in the round of 16.
Along the way, Laryea won praise from coach Jesse Marsch and several of his Canadian teammates during the World Cup, underlining his growing importance to the national team program.
Now that Laryea has returned to TFC from international duty, he’s getting ready to play in his first ever MLS All-Star Game.
