TFC Republic's reader mailbag column is where I answer questions from subscribers about Toronto FC and Canadian soccer in general.

Do you have an impression if TFC are going to be active in this upcoming transfer window? Is making a move dependent on them being competitive down the season stretch? Or do you think they're going to wait to add in the off-season?

Just as a refresher, the MLS secondary transfer window runs from July 24 to Aug. 21.  

During this time, MLS clubs can make player trades with each other and also bring in players on transfer deals. It's one the last chances for teams to strengthen their rosters this season. Once the window closes, teams will only be able to add to their squads by signing free agents prior to the MLS roster free date on Sept. 12.
