Chukwu, 18, started in centre of Reds' defence

With three defenders out injured and another one slow to recover from his injury, Toronto FC coach Robert Fraser didn't have a lot of defensive options for Wednesday's road match vs. the New England Revolution.

Finding someone to partner Walker Zimmerman in the centre of defence posed a problem with Nicksoen Gomis, Lazar Stefanovic, Benjamin Kuscevic and Matheus Pereira all ruled out, so Fraser decided to hand a senior team debut to Richard Chukwu.
