TFC put in a rare 90-minute performance on Saturday and were rewarded for their efforts with a second home win of the season.
After an inconsistent midweek performance, Toronto FC put the hammer down in earning a 3-0 victory over the Portland Timbers at BMO Field on Saturday night.
TFC's second home win was even more impressive considering Toronto was missing nine players through injury and national team duty, and given the fact that Italian DP Lorenzo Insigne didn't even dress.
"That's what a team should do if you're missing people. And when people get their opportunity, they need to take it and run with it. And I just thought, really top to bottom, guys who started, guys who came off the bench had so much energy and played so much like a team," coach Robin Fraser said.
