Toronto FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: 3 takeaways
TFC looked so poor vs. the Whitecaps on Saturday that Raheem Edwards issues an apology to the team's travelling fans.
VANCOUVER – Let's not mince words: This was ugly. Very ugly.
How poor did Toronto FC look in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place in its Canadian derby matchup? So poor that fullback Raheem Edwards was compelled to issue an apology to the club's travelling supporters when speaking to reporters after the humbling defeat.
"Honestly, I feel embarrassed to be up here to talk to you guys. I feel sorry for the fans. I just want to apologize to them, because that first half was unacceptable. More of the same thing again in terms of shooting ourselves in the foot, giving up easy goals. It's a little too easy," Edwards stated.
Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
