TFC's Richie Laryea, Jonathan Osorio earn Canada call-ups
Both Toronto FC players are included in Jesse Marsch's latest Canadian roster for this month's pair of friendlies at BMO Field.
When the Canadian men's team goes into battle at BMO Field later this month it will do so with two members of Toronto FC.
Coach Jesse Marsch on Thursday revealed his 26-man roster for a pair of friendlies against Iceland on March 28 and Tunisia on March 31. Included in his squad are TFC captain Jonathan Osorio and fullback Richie Laryea.
This is the penultimate window for Canada before the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the fact that both Osorio and Laryea are involved suggests that they'll both be a part of Marsch's squad this summer.
Laryea’s call-up for this window shouldn’t come as a surprise. If there was one Canadian player whose World Cup stock has significantly risen over the last few international windows, it’s Laryea's. Marsch said last October that Laryea was Canada's "best player overall" in 2025.
