Toronto FC’s injury crisis keeps getting worse.

TFC revealed on Tuesday that defender Richie Laryea will undergo a surgical procedure on his right hamstring this weekend by Dr. Fares Harrad in London, England. The club also said that Laryea is expected to be ruled out for three months following the procedure.

Laryea, 29, started and played 70 minutes in TFC's season opener in February away to FC Cincinnati, but then missed the Reds' next three games, including this past weekend's 2-1 road loss to New York City FC.
